Doyce Willis Thomas, 73, of Russellville, passed away Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, at Huntsville Hospital.
Mr. Thomas was a native of Lawrence County, Tenn., but had lived in this area for the past eleven years. He attended Friendship Baptist Church, Russellville, and was retired from the U.S. Air Force. He also worked in maintenance at Heilig-Meyers Furniture.
The funeral service will be Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, at 2 p.m., at Liberty Grove Church, Loretto, Tenn., with burial in the adjoining cemetery. The body will be placed in the church one hour before the service. Officiating will be Keith Prince and Jeff Putman. The family will receive friends at Pinkard Funeral Home on Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Winsted Thomas; children, Donald (Dawn) Thomas, Gina (David) Poe, Roger (Julie) Thomas, Barry (Mandy) Winsted, and Keith Winsted; sisters, Lafredia (Benny) Wayland, Julia (David) Brown; grandchildren, Dylan Thomas, Hannah Thomas, Kimbor Thomas, Paul Poe, Michael Poe, Scarlett Winsted.
He was preceded in death by parents, Howard C. Thomas; mother, Idora Milwee; and sister, Wynell (J.T.) Venable.
Pallbearers will be Tony Brown, Troy Brown, Danny Jones, Chris Jackson, David Poe, Steve Lindsey, Tim Lindsey and Terry Wayland. Honorary bearer will be Dustin Green

Im so sorry to hear about Doyce he was my cousin, I wish I could have met him. Id really like to meet his kids & wife my cousin’s.
