Clifford Leroy Howard, 67, of Red Bay, Ala., died Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, at the Red Bay Hospital. He was born Oct. 25, 1946, in Keokuk, Iowa. He was a police officer and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He attended New Union Missionary Baptist Church.
A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, Ala. with Brother Greg Philamlee officiating. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Ala., will be in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are his wife of 15 years, Linda Rodgers Howard, Red Bay, Ala.; mother, Peggy Howard, Marion, Iowa; five daughters, Heather Howard, Jumpertown, Miss., Brandy Almarri (Saeed), Jacksonville, Ark., Pamela Holt Carter, Earle, Ark., Bridget Brown (Alvin), Red Bay, Ala., and Leah Howard, of Georgia; one son, Zane Howard (Crystal) Oakland, Tenn.; three sisters, Judy Messina, of Arizona, Karla Gilbert, Marion, Iowa, and Marlene Schultz, of Nevada; ten grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
