Kirk Berryman
RUSSELLVILLE-Kirk Berryman Insurance Agency was raided Thursday, January 16 by several law enforcement agencies and the owner, Kirk Berryman age 48 of Russellville was arrested.
During the raid on the business at 301 Underwood Road in Russellville moonshine and equipment to construct a moonshine still were found. The raid took place after several people claimed they had paid Berryman for their polices and finding out at a later time the polices had not been renewed.
Berryman is being held in the Franklin County jail on charges of Possession of Untaxed Alcohol and Possession of Part of a Whiskey Still after being arrested by ABC Agents.. His bond has been set at $1500.00.
According to Sheriff Shannon Oliver most of the day has been spent seizing files. All the insurance files active and inactive have been seized to see what has been paid and what has not been paid.
Authorities say the investigation is ongoing.
