Mr. Leonard Lee Williams Sr. joined his beautiful, loving wife, Jerouline Williams, in Heaven on Monday, Jan. 6, 2014.
Mr. Williams was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1972. He served two tours in Vietnam and was stationed in Germany and Korea. He lived in Florence from 1972 until his passing and was retired from working at the Lauderdale County Courthouse.
He is survived by his son, Leonard Williams Jr. and wife, Kim Williams, and their children, Preslei and Garrett; daughter Tina Kiewit and husband, Scott Kiewi,t and their children, Kaitlyn, Ryan, and Avery; son, Chris Williams and wife, Hannah Williams; sisters, Louise Sarratt and Jackie Balentine; brother, Art Williams; and several nieces and nephews and their families. He will be dearly missed.
Per his request, there will not be a service. His family asks in his remembrance to do something kind for someone. Tell those you love that you love them and give more than you take. If you are moved to donate to a charity, please remember all of our veterans and think of donating time or money to help them.
