
FLORENCE-Notice from the City of Florence concerning the water shortage in West Lauderdale County:
IMPORTANT NOTICE- Please Share: The West Lauderdale Fire and Water Protection Authority is experiencing low water levels due to high usage as a result of customer leaks from the sub-freezing temperatures we have recently experienced. To assist the West Lauderdale system, it is important to SHARE this post with as many possible to let their customers know the importance of repairing their leaks and curtailing water use as much as possible on the West Lauderdale Water System.IT IS IMPORTANT THAT WEST LAUDERDALE WATER AUTHORITY CUSTOMERS CONSERVE WATER AT THIS TIME.
The City of Florence Water system is NOT experiencing any major problems at this time. However, the City of Florence Gas & Water/Wastewater Department is doing all we can to assist by increasing tank levels as much as possible so that West Lauderdale can receive more water through their stations where they purchase water from us. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

LAUDERDALE COUNTY– The West Lauderdale Water Authority has put residents under an advisory to conserve water.
Under this advisory, customers who have a water leak are asked to turn water off at the meter and stop running water to prevent freezing pipes.
Customers who need potable water can pick up bottled water at 3353 County Road 200 or the Waterloo Post Office Wednesday night from 7 to 9 p.m., and Thursday beginning at 8 a.m.
