Paul Henry Joly Sr., age 94, of Tuscumbia, died Monday, Jan. 6, 2014.

Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 10, 2014, 6-8 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia, with Rosary at 8 p.m. The funeral will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Shoals Catholic Church, with burial following in Holy Cross Cemetery.

The Rev. Don Forsythe will officiate.

Mr. Joly served six years in the U.S. Army Air Corp and was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of Our Lady of the Shoals Catholic Church, a Eucharistic minister and a past Parish board member. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 31 and was a Fourth Degree Knight and past Grand Knight with the Knights of Columbus, Council 6661. He owned and operated the Rebel Shop in Muscle Shoals for over 50 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Leon and Emma Kobeck Joly; his first wife of 49 years, Elinor French Joly; and his son, Paul H. Joly Jr.; brothers, Frank, Leon, Alfred and William Joly; and sisters, Henrietta Mecke and Catherine Stumpe.

Survivors include his wife, Anna Catherine Joly; sons, Alfred Ernest, Francis Leon and Charles Fredrick Joly; brother, Walter Joly; sister, Delores Anderson; 13 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews.

The family wishes to thank Mitchell Hollingsworth for their kind and professional services during the last months of his life.
