Paul Samuel Peete age 86 of Athens passed away Thursday, December 26, 2013 at Athens Limestone Hospital. Mr. Peete was born June 14, 1927 in Limestone County to Earl Samuel Peete and Flossie Vassar Peete.
Services will be Saturday, December 28, 2013 2:00 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday, December 28, 2013 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Athens City Cemetery.
Mr. Peete was a member of the Church of Christ. He was a Veteran of Occupation of Japan after World War II.
Survived by his wife, Ruth S. Peete of Athens; daughter, Christy Chittam and husband, Dick of Athens; three sons, Wayne Peete of Huntsville, Keith Peete and wife, Marilyn of Tanner and Rodney Peete and wife, April of Athens; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Joe Hinkle, Justin Chittam, Travis Peete, David Hargrave, Jonas Peete and Larry Lawler.
