Thelma Leona Hobbs, 92 of Ardmore, Alabama died on Sunday, January 5, 2014, at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, Alabama.
Born Saturday, June 4, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Garland Smith and the late Nanna Bell Smith. She was a member of Ardmore First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Jessie R. Hobbs, and a son: Jessie Wayne Hobbs.
Surviving are son, Royce Hobbs of Seoul, Korea, daughter, Shirley (Wilson) Coffman of Athens, AL, daughter-in-law: Frances Hobbs of Ardmore, AL, grandchildren: Ronnie & Randy Coffman, Matt & Bobby Hobbs, Michael & Tyrone Hobbs, great-grandchildren: Chris, Josh, Jenna & Gabi Coffman, and Tana & Tera Hobbs, John Graves, and Isaiah & Isaac Hobbs, and gr-gr-grandchildren: Emily & Logan Coffman.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Bro. Alan Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Hasting Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
