Robbie Corlyn Faulkner Whitten, age 92, of Florence, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, Jan. 3, 2014.
Visitation will be Monday, Jan. 6, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Spry Williams Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Steve Reding officiating. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Whitten was born in Savannah, Tenn., on Dec. 10, 1921, to Robert and Barbara Ellen Faulkner. She was the youngest of five children. She moved to Florence with her family at an early age.
Mrs. Whitten graduated from Coffee High School in 1941. She married Granville Whitten in 1952. She was a faithful member of North Wood United Methodist Church for more than 60 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by her son, Robert Whitten; five nephews; and numerous cousins.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
