Mrs. Alene Whiteside Jones was born June 10th, 1925 to the late Rollie Whiteside and Leida Kellock of Leighton, AL. She departed her journey home December 29th, 2013. She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Leighton, AL and later joined Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, Tuscumbia, AL.
Alene is preceded in death by her parents Rollie Whiteside and Leida Kellock; four brothers Willie Whiteside, David Whiteside, Leroy Whiteside, and James Whiteside; two sisters, Corene Whiteside and Emma Goodloe; one granddaughter, Crystal Jones-Adams; one great-granddaughter, Brandy Adams; and one daughter-in-law, Katherine Jones.
She loved so many and was surrounded by family and friends who loved her dearly during her lifetime. She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Emma Jones, Sheffield, AL; Ella Adams (James) North Chicago, IL; two sons, John Jones, Muscle Shoals, AL; and Charles Jones (Renee), Suwanee, GA; three sisters, Lucille Hampton, Sheffield, AL; Vickie Whiteside and Dorothy Phillips, Muscle Shoals, AL; five grandchildren, Tori Adams (Vanessa), North Chicago, IL; Pamela Moore (Terry), Tuscumbia, AL; Yavetta Cole (Brandon), Mebane, North Carolina; Ronika Gorden (Kendall), Loganville, Georgia; and Charte Jones, Jacksonville, Florida; eight great-grandchildren, Montoyius Moore and Terica Moore, Tuscumbia, AL; Makayla Adams, North Chicago, IL; Lamika Jones and Mekail Gorden, Georgia; Jamour Jones and Alencia Jones, Jacksonville, FL; Zachary Cole and Jonathan Cole, North Carolina; one great-great granddaughter, Nyasia McClure, Florence, AL and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
