Joe Paul Speakman, age 55, of Trinity,
who was born August 2, 1958, in Decatur,
to Woodrow Wilson Speakman and Aldie Christine Trussell Speakman,
died Thursday, December 19, 2013,
at Decatur Morgan Hospital–Parkway Campus.
He was employed by Huntsville Rubber & Gasket.
Mr. Speakman was preceded in death by his parents,
one brother, James Speakman, and one sister, Faye Smith.
He is survived by his common-law wife, Martha Newman of Trinity;
two sisters, Millie Davis of Decatur, and Penny Phillips of Trinity;
and one half-sister, Jean Barber of Decatur.
