Donnie Ray Burch, 66, of Toney passed away Friday, December 20, 2013 at Crestwood Medical Center. SFC Donnie Burch, U.S. Army Retired was also retired from NASA after 23 years of service. Mr. Burch was a 32nd degree Mason. Mr. Burch is preceded in death by his father, MSG Lonnie Burch, and a brother SGT Kenneth Burch. He is survived by his wife Susan Burch, four daughters, Karen Bean, Dianna O’Dell (David), Angela Brittain and MAJ Leslie Picht, two sons Jeff Rutledge (Sabrina) and MSG Cliff Gaston (Starr), his mother, Loudean Burch, two sisters, Patricia Clark (Tyrone Ney) and Deborah Cowan-Barton, three brothers, Tom Burch, Steve Burch and David Burch (Brenda), seven grandchildren, Jessica, Katherine, Emily, Michael, Adam, David and Evan, four great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Ceed, Cody and Luna and a number of other loving family members and friends. Visitation will be Friday, December 27, 2013 from 3:30pm until 5:00pm followed by a memorial service at 5:00pm at Berryhill Funeral Home. Family suggest contributions to the American Cancer Society or the Wounded Warrior Project. Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting the family.
