Lawrence Gregory “Greg” Michels, age 60, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Thursday, December 19, 2013 at Crockett Hospital in Lawrenceburg, TN. He was a native of Melbourne, FL, retired police officer of 30 years, retired from Boeing Co., and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. He was also a member of Lawrence County Gospel Association, West End Community Club, Albert Pike Lodge #303 AF & AM of Wichita, KS, and Midian Shrine Temple of Wichita, KS. Mr. Michels was also a grammy nominated music producer of Todd Taylor’s 3-Five-N. In addition to playing guitar, harmonica, and many other instruments, he enjoyed singing Barber Shop and was a member of Cause for Applause.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Gabriel and Marian Mulhearn Michels; and one brother, Alan Michels.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 5:00 PM Saturday, December 21, 2013, with Larry Spears officiating. Interment will be held at Old Mission Wichita Park Cemetery in Wichita, KS at a later date.
