Gresham Lane – Obituary

of Mt. Hope, passed away, December 16, 2013, at Helen Keller Hospital at the age of 78. He was born in Russellville, Alabama on March 8, 1935 to John T. and Effie Seay Lane. He was a retired plumber and pipefitter for 45 years. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

Gresham was preceded in death by his parents, eight brothers, six sisters and grandson, Matthew Lee.

He is survived by his children Cindy Lee (Jimmy) of Pace, FL, Cheryl Dale (Mike) of Hattisburg, MS, Brad Lane (Kim) of Decatur, AL, Renee’ Jenkins (Willie) of Cleveland, TN and Philip Lane (Wendy) of Mt. Hope, AL; his grandsons, who were his greatest joy, JR
Lee of Pace, FL, Landon, Linden and Logan Dale of Hattisburg, MS, Casey and Tanner Lane of Decatur, AL, Bre and Bailey Vandiver of Leighton, AL; his sister, Margurite Nicholson of Russellville, AL, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 19, 2013, Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel, Russellville with visitation Wednesday night 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Brother Eddie Wix will be officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church Cemetery, Russellville.

Pallbearers will be Doug Nicholson, Michael Lane, Mitch Lane, Justin Vandiver, Casey Lane, Tanner Lane and Hite Lane.
