“We have worked hard with Mayor Mickey Haddock and the Chamber President Steve Holt to be in a position to begin this renovation and we are excited to get started. There is so much potential here in Florence and these upgrades are only the first step. We look forward to continuing to work together with Mayor Haddock and Mr. Holt to further improve the property and attract additional retailers to the Shoals area. We are confident that the Florence Mall has a bright future ahead.” said Jim Hull, Managing Principle of Hull Storey Gibson Companies.
Inside the Mall, the owners will improve the interior aesthetics with new carpeting, restrooms and paint. Additional interior improvements will include raising the ceilings, improving the interior lighting and installing historical photographs throughout the Mall corridors. The Mall’s exterior will also receive a minor face lift with landscaping, new signage and improved entryways. A name change will take effect as

renovations begin with the new Florence Mall name reflected in all Mall communication and signage.
“An enclosed Mall is an important part of a thriving city and the newly renovated Florence Mall will represent an energized community to others considering relocating or investing in our area. I believe the transformation of this Mall will help us secure our city’s position as a strong regional shopping hub,” said Mayor Mickey Haddock. “We are extremely grateful to Hull Storey Gibson Companies for their generous investment to improve the Florence Mall not only for our merchants, but for our citizens and visitors as well.”
Renovations are scheduled to begin after Christmas. Shoppers may notice changes and signs of construction, but the Mall will remain open during normal business hours throughout the process. To avoid major inconvenience, most of the heavy construction will occur at night when the Florence Mall is closed. Interior renovations are expected to be completed by summer 2014.
