FLORENCE – There are some brave souls living here in The Shoals.. Brave indeed! Saturday Was the day for CASA big winter-time event. And it was cold. But that didn’t stop the runners in the 5K and 1-mile races.
Now, the Polar Plunge was a different story. While 50 or so runners partook in the races at McFarland Park, only about 5 or 6 brave souls jumped into the near-icy waters of Pickwick Lake.
