A memorial service for Philip Jeffreys, 57, of Decatur, will be Saturday, December 7, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Roger Jenkins officiating. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Jeffreys passed away Friday, November 29, 2013, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born August 1, 1956, in Colbert County to Jimmy and Sue Jeffreys. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother-in-law, Steve Bagwell; and nephew, Stuart Jeffreys.
He is survived by his daughter, Jessica Overbee (Jimmy) of Decatur; brother, Mike Jeffreys (Jan) of Decatur; sister, Debbie Bagwell of Decatur; grandchildren, Norah Cummings and Cooper “CJ” Cummings, both of Decatur; and nephew, Joseph Bagwell (Melissa) of Decatur.
Mr. Jeffreys was a former employee of Onan and was currently employed at Navistar as a machinist. He was an avid fisherman and a music enthusiast
