Frances K. Bissell of Huntsville, age 85, passed away Monday December 2, 2013, at her residence. Mrs Bissell was a retired bankruptcy trustee for the U.S. Federal Court System. She lived in Germany with her husband for 20 years and taught English at Heilbron University in Germany.
She is survived by special friend, James Valter Wade of Somerville; children, Judith Thompson (Greg Farnsworth) and Gayle Yawn (Geary W.), both of Huntsville; stepchildren, Renee Fleissner of Fayetteville, Tenn., Andrea Whitfield of Huntsville, Pamela Bissell of Springhill, Tenn., Paul Bissell of Huntsville and Karen DeVineni of Dallas Texas; great-grandson, Jeremy Thompson (Rachel); great-great- granddaughter, Donna Faye Thompson; brother, Dean Kennedy of Grant; sisters, Atha Foote of Gurley and Jo Phillips of Fayetteville, Tenn.; also numerous stepgrandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond H. Bissell; brother, James Kennedy; sister, Betty Sue Miller; grandson, William Tracy Thompson; parents, Alonza O. Kennedy and Mae Miliner Kennedy.
Visitation will be Saturday December 7, 2013, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Hampton Cove Funeral Home. The service will follow at 2 p.m. with Brother John Walker of Somerville officiating. Burial will be in Hampton Cove Cemetery.
