Mr. Donald Eugene House, age 65, of Hornsby, passed from this life Saturday evening, November 30, 2013 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Graveside services will be held at a later date at Glenwood Cemetery in Walnut, Kansas.
A native of Berryville, AR, he was born October 23, 1948, to Ledford Woodard and Lillian House, both of whom preceded him in death. He worked as a truck driver for 44 years and enjoyed working on cars in his spare time.
Survivors include his wife, Velma Lowrence; four daughters, Melissa Golden (Daniel, Jr.) of Branson, MO, Amanda Reed of Pittsburg, KS, Tanya House (Jason Burton) of Arma, KS and Kaysea Sanderson (Clive) of Branson West, MO; three sons, Chad House (Jena) of Pittsburg, KS, Kent House (Tawnjoli) of Franklin, KS, and Buck House (Beth) of Girard, KS; two daughters, Regina Green of Girard, KS, and Laura House of Pittsburg, KS; a sister, Kathy McClendon of Pittsburg, KS; a brother, Charles “John” Woodard of Bolivar; 26 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two children, Vickie Ann House and Brian Eugene House; and his siblings, Bobby and Edward Woodard and Helen Hill. The family requests memorials to the donor’s choice of charities.
