Royce Glen Thornton age 77 of Rogersville passed away on Friday, November 29, 2013. Visitation will be Monday December 2, at Elkins East Chapel from Noon till 2pm. Services will be at 2pm in the Chapel with Mike Puff officiating.
Mr. Thornton was preceded in death by his parents, Chapel and Nora Thornton. Son, Royce G. Thornton Jr. Daughter, Janet Lynn Walker. Brother Don Thornton and sister, Margie Mitchell.
Royce is survived by his wife of 55 years, Willie Thornton. A daughter, Lisa Neisler. Two sons, David Thornton and Rex Thornton. One sister, Betty Dilleo. Eleven grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Thornton was a member of Corum Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
