Funeral services for Lindel Dalton Mitchell, age 83 of Frankewing, will be conducted Saturday at 2 PM at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Arrick officiating. Burial will follow in Wrights Cemetery. Mr. Mitchell passed away Wednesday in Donalson Care Center.
He was a native of Lincoln County and the son of the late James Clyde and Clara Harrison Mitchell. He was a retired truck driver for the Lincoln Paving Company, a veteran of the Korean
Conflict and a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Ann Hill Mitchell of Frankewing, daughters Lynnita Taylor and husband Jerry of Frankewing, Shelia Stubblefield of Frankewing, four sons Dalton Wayne Mitchell of Fayetteville, Carlos Wade Mitchell of Frankewing, Roger Mitchell of Frankewing, Keith Mitchell of McBurg, three step-sons David Leamon Mitchell and wife Barbara of Fayetteville, Tony Randall Mitchell and wife Debbie of Flintville, John Morgan Mitchell and wife Robbie, brother Harold Lee Mitchell and wife Edith of Elora, 10 grandchildren, six step-grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be Friday evening 5-8 PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
