Funeral service for Ronald Wayne Terry, 66, of Moulton will be Saturday, November 23, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Neal Blaxton and Scott Coffee officiating. Burial will be in Morris Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Terry, who died Wednesday, November 20, 2013, was born July 25, 1947, to Alexander Wallace Terry and Susie Anderton. He was a deacon at Straight Gospel Missionary Baptist Church. He was a fireman for Chalybeate Volunteer Fire and Rescue for 23 years and worked for the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department for 16 years. His father preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Shelby Jean Terry; three sons, Steven Wayne Terry and wife, Renay, Ronald Weston Terry and Vance Lee Terry and wife, Amanda; his mother and stepfather, Susie and Lewis Anderton; one sister, Sarah Wylene Bayari; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Casey Terry, Cody Terry, Lynn Smith, Jeremy Blaxton, Greg Randolf and Anthony Peebles.
Honorary pallbearer will be Tony Peebles.
