Brenda N. Zion, age 66, of Tuscumbia, died Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013.
Visitation for family and friends will be Saturday, 2-5 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. A memorial service will follow in the funeral home chapel.
Brenda was a native of Chicago, Ill., a member of Christ Chapel and served as a volunteer at Helen Keller Hospital. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jimmie Mae Watson; father, Felps Watson; and husband, Ken Zion.
She is survived by her son, Edward W. McAuley and wife, Laura; daughter, Dee Barnett Thomas and husband, John; stepsons, Chris, Bobbie, and Ken “Skip” Zion; sisters, Barbara Halstead and husband, Rick, and Cathy Vandiver and husband, Doug; grandchildren, Jessica, Ryan and Megan McAuley, and Rebecca and Katie Barnett.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society .
