Geneva Taylor Wright, age 83, of Florence, died Monday, November 18, 2013. Her family will receive friends Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home Florence/Central Heights. Her funeral service will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Wayne Green officiating. Burial will follow in Old Macedonia Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Wright was a Lauderdale County native and a member of Rhodesville Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by the father of her children, William Taylor and husband, Arthur Lee Taylor Jr., her granddaughter, Britney Lanier and son-in-law, Reeder Lanier.
She is survived by her sons; Billy Taylor and wife, Mary, Lonnie Taylor and wife Mary Jo, Dewayne May and wife Carie; daughters, Brenda Lanier, Linda Kelley and husband Earl; brother, Gary Kelly; sisters, Bassel Johnson, Gerline Hamby (Pibb), Barbara Thornton, Gail McDonald, nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Donald Fowlkes, Steve Taylor, Joshua Miles, George Fowlkes, Doug McCrary, Mike Kelley. Honorary pallbearers are the men of Rhodesville Methodist Church.
The family expresses special thanks to Hospice Tennessee Valley, Alacare and to granddaughter, Debbie Lanier and Mary Jo Taylor.
