Phillip Oneal Covington, 57, of Florence, died Wednesday, November 13, 2013. The Family will receive friends on Friday, November 15, from 6:00pm – 9:00pm at Morrison Funeral Home, Central. A chapel service will be held Saturday, November 16, at 1:00pm, with Sonny Hargett officiating. Interment will be at Central Heights Community Cemetery.
Mr. Covington was a native of Wayne County, TN and a member of Macedonia Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Lois Hinton Covington; brother, Alan Howard Covington; sister, Jenny Covington.
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Ebba Williams Covington; sons Charles Oneal Covington (Amanda) and Cory Phillip Covington (Kristin); Brothers Elmo Littrell (Jean), Leo Littrell (Annie Ruth); sisters, Sue Favors (Rodney), Connie Brannon (Toney), Joann White (Avon), Frances Creasy (Danny), Sonya Kelley (Coy); 5 grandchildren, Jordan Bassie, Chasity, Keri, Kinsly, Hadlee Covington, and, one on the way, Charlee Esther Covington.
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to MOM’s Inc., or Macedonia Church of Christ at Central Heights.
