Geraldine Hayes, 87, of Florence, passed away Nov. 12, 2013, at her residence. She was a member of Salem Church of Christ.
Visitation was Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013, from 6-8 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be today at Salem Church of Christ at 1 p.m. with Caleb Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow in Wilson Cemetery at Roger’s Chapel. The body will be placed in the church at noon.
Mrs. Hayes was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Dalton Hayes; parents, James and Marvin Ethel Riley; sister, Ozelle Hoagland; and brothers, Roy Lee and Harold Riley.
She is survived by her sons, Coy Dalton Hayes (Brenda Hill) and Troy Dale Hayes (Joyce Skelton); daughters, Mary Carlene Hayes and Rhonda Denise McKinney (James); brother, Knowles Riley; sister, Emendola Dial; grandchildren, Cindy Peden, Dalton Hayes, James McKinney (Kylie), Samantha McKinney (Cody) and Ashton Joiner (Jim); great-grandchildren, Colton Hayes, Brison Hayes, Brently Joiner, Hannah Hayes, Chase Miller, and Kaylea Peden.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
