Pernie M. Cromeans Shields, 85, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center . She was born June 10, 1928 to the late Charlie and Alcia Brazil Cromeans in Itawamba County.She was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, working her puzzle books, watching westerns, and spending time with family and friends. .
She is survived by 2 Sons, David Cleveland of Nashville, TN, and Arnold (Sylvia) Cleveland of Mantachie, 3 Granddaughters, Kim (Jason) Gassaway of Fairview, Christie Cleveland of Dorsey, and Mary (Joey) Miller of Mantachie, 2 Grandsons, Barry Cleveland of Mantachie, and John Gale of Mantachie, 4 Great Grandchildren, 1 Brother, Pete Cromeans of Fulton, 3 Sisters, Helen Vinson of Golden, Betty (Wes) Sufficool of Tulsa, OK, and Jo Ann Smith of Golden.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Alcia Cromeans, Previous Spouse, Grady Cleveland, Husband, Truman Shields, 2 Brothers, Gene Cromeans, Arnold Cromeans Jr., 1 Sister, Peggy Ella Quay Cromeans.
Pallbearers will be Barry Cleveland, Darrell Vinson, Freddie Cleveland, Willie Cromeans.
