Ocille Johnson, age 80, of Muscle Shoals, died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013.
Her family will receive friends Wednesday, 1 to 3:30 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home of Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 3:30 p.m. with Blake Freeman and Gil Olive officiating. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Johnson was a member of Lakeview Highlands Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Burleson Johnson; her parents, Marvin and Dellie Thrasher, four brothers and five sisters.
She is survived by her daughters; Judy Ricks (Buz), Sherry Goodman (James); sons, Donnie Johnson (Kim) and Steve Johnson (Gena); grandchildren, Sean Presley(Erika), Alisha Freeman (Blake), Jennifer Olive (Gil), Nathan Ricks (Jill), Jeremiah Johnson, Jenny Odom (Grant), Callie Johnson, Ashli, Hunter and Anissa Johnson; great grandchildren, Jackson and Claire Freeman, Lincoln, Logan and Charlee Beth Olive, Sawyer Presley, Brian Ricks and Olivia Odom.
Pallbearers are Sean Presley, Nathan Ricks, Jeremiah Johnson, Hunter Johnson, Grant Odom and Gil Olive.
The family expresses special thanks to Dr.’s Alan McCrory, Leroy Harris, Larry Walker and other physicians involved with Mom’s case. We gratefully acknowledge the care and services provided by the nurses and staff of the RCU, MICU, respiratory staff and so many others at Huntsville Hospital.
