Woman Jumps from Trace Scenic Bridge

This statement was just released by the National Parks Service:

WILLIAMSON CO, TN –  On September 2, 2013 at 9:00 p.m., a Tennessee State Trooper discovered the body of a possible suicide victim along TN Highway 96 outside of Franklin, Tennessee.  Fifty-nine year-old Mary Jo Patterson of Brentwood, TN was found below the Natchez Trace Parkway Double Arch Bridge. Patterson’s vehicle was located at the Birdsong Hollow parking area near milepost 438 on the Parkway.  Notes left inside the vehicle indicate the death was a suicide. The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
