Funeral service for William Riley McDonald, Jr., age 75, of Decatur, will be Friday, September 6, 2013, 2:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Hugh Bohlin and Rev. Randy Berry officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 5, 2013, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens.

Interment will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens.Mr. McDonald, who died Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born February 11, 1938, in Morgan County, to William Riley McDonald, Sr. and Myrtle Ann Sullivan McDonald.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ernestine Chenault McDonald of Decatur; two sons, Randy McDonald (Christina), and Billy Ray McDonald (Regina), both of Decatur; two brothers, Johnny McDonald (Rosalie) of Vinemont, and Jimmy McDonald (Cathy) of Trinity; three sisters, Charlotte Busby of Decatur, Sandra Miller (Sonny) of Danville, and Susan Minor (Mike) of Hartselle; six grandchildren, Amy Holt (Bradley), Brooke Lipscomb (Jeff), Cristin Butler (Jeremy), Courtney Knobloch (Garrett), Cody McDonald, and Casey McDonald; seven great-grandchildren, Chloee, Brady, Chase, Cayden, Briley, William, and Carson; and three step-grandchildren, Bradley, Cody, and Kaitlin.
Pallbearers will be Bradley Holt, Jeff Lipscomb, Garrett Knobloch, Jeremy Butler, Audie Layton, and Larry Cosper. Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of McDonald Richard Construction Company.
Memorial donations may be made to Austinville First Baptist Church Building Fund.
