Funeral services for Ms. Ima Faye Mayes Mercer, age 83, are scheduled for 11 AM on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 in the Chapel of Pafford Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Darden Cemetery. Ms. Ima passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2013 in New Albany, MS. She was born April, 29, 1930 in Wildersville, TN to the late Elvis Franklin and Ada Robert Vineyard Mayes. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and housewife. She was a member of the Friendship Community for over forty years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Curtis Mercer, sister, Ann Mae Mayes, Evans, and brother, BIlly Joe Mayes. Survivors include two daughters, Deborah Walls (Ronnie) of Arlington, TN and Sharon Harrison of Tupelo, MS, two sons, Scott Mercer (Kim) and Mark Mercer of Ecru, MS, six grandchildren, Theresa Simpson (Kevin) of Germantown, TN, Jeff Hendrix of Tupelo, MS, Lisa Billions (Brandon) of Horn Lake, MS, Jennifer Brock (Joel) of Baldwyn, MS, Katie and Keaton Mercer of Ecru, MS, and 7 great grandchildren.
