Charles H. Barnett of Rogersville died Wednesday, August 28th, 2013 at ECM Hospital at the age of 80.
He served in the United States Army, retired from TVA, member of the Laborers Local #366, American Legion, Florence and Whitehead Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Saturday from 6 – 8 p.m. at Rogersville Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. with Keith Hawk officiating. Burial will be in Civitan Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dakota Walker, Gaylon Walker, Robert Nance, Eric Simpson, Alex Simpson and Justin Watkins.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Hulon & Ila Mae Barnett; wife, Mary Barnett; sister, Imogene Rogers and brother, David Barnett. He is survived by his best friend, Bea Barnett; daughter, Anita McCrary; 8 step-children; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Pat Ball and Sheila Barnett.
