Killen’s 14th Annual Founders Day celebrating 55 years as a town

Kicking off the annual Killen Founders Day with a parade on Friday, August 23 at 6:00 pm is only the beginning.  Killen is celebrating their 55th anniversary as a town and honoring the Lions Club as well.

The opening ceremonies will follow the parade at the Amphitheatre in Killen Park at 7:30 pm followed music with the headliners… The Midnighters at 8:30 pm.

The event will be two days filled with activities such as…. Arts and Crafts, Food Vendors, Kiddie Rides and a whole lot of fun most events taking place in  Killen Park.

6:00pm   Parade through downtown Killen

7:30pm   Opening ceremonies-Amphitheatre in Killen Park

8:00pm   Music-Ampitheatre in Killen Park

11:00am       Watermelon Seed Spitting Contest-Killen Park

11:30am        UNO Tournament ages 8-12-shelter #2-Killen Park

12:00-8:00  LifeSouth Blood Mobile-Killen Park

1:00pm          Dulcimers-Amphitheatre in Killen Park

1:00pm          Singles Horseshoe Tournament-Killen Park

2:30pm          Doubles Horseshoe Tournament-Killen Park
