Brenda Lee Lancaster Posey, 64, of Florence, passed away Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013, at ECM Hospital. She was a member of Sherrod Avenue Church of Christ, a 1967 graduate of Coffee High School and received a B.S. degree from UNA in 1995 in Social Work. Brenda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was an avid gardener and loved her flowers. She also enjoyed cooking, especially for friends and family. Brenda will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be Sunday, Aug. 18, from 1-3 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home with the funeral service beginning at 3 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel. Officiating will be Kenny Barfield. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
Brenda was preceded in death by her father, James Lancaster.
She is survived by her husband, Chip Posey; children, Janet Posey, Michael Posey (Sasha Gifford), Carrie Posey; grandchild, Harper Posey; brothers, Craig and Bud Lancaster; mother, Ave Lee Lancaster.
Pallbearers will be Gary Chowning, Jim Spencer, Roger Peck, Larry Collins, Van Stack and David Webb.
