Christopher Lashon Ashford was born in Decatur, Alabama on January 23, 1979. He was the younger of two sons born to Mrs. Carolyn D. Ashford and Mr. Chester Ashford.
He joined the Army after graduating from high school, and he later received a medical discharge.
Christopher leaves to cherish his memory: a devoted mother, Carolyn D. Ashford of Hillsboro, Alabama and a father, Chester Ashford of Courtland, Alabama; a devoted grandmother, Mary Ruth Bowman of Decatur, Alabama; two brothers, Eric (Amanda) Ashford of Decatur, Alabama and Terrence Blanks of Chattanooga, Tennessee; two sisters, Felicia Nicole (Roy) Thomas and April Ashford both of Decatur, Alabama; three loving nieces, Whitney Ashford, Travia Ashford and Shontavia Edwards all of Huntsville, Alabama; a caring nephew, Jonathan Hill of Hillsboro, Alabama; great aunts, great uncles, aunts and uncles, and a host of relatives and friends.
