William G. England, age 79, of Florence, Ala., died, Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013. The visitation will be Tuesday, Aug. 13. from noon-2 p.m. at New Hope Church of Christ. The funeral will follow at 2 p.m. with Sammy Franks, Carl Seigenthaler, and Mark Maybrey officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his mother Ann Lawson, father, William Berlin England, and sister Betty Hamm.
Survivors include his wife, Bessie; sons, George (Deb), Tim (Onita), David (Judy), Bill (Donna), Brian (Deanna); daughters, Nancy Frederick (Wayne), and Hilda, brothers; Leon (Barbara), Ralph (Francis); sisters, Barbara A., Doris Lovelace, Shelia Hayes (Donnie); 12 grandchildren and 22-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Perry England, Steven England, Doug Frederick, Chad England, Brandon Tittle, and Eric Burns, Honorary pallbearers will be the Elders of Church of Christ at Macedonia.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to Dr. Edward Moore and Dr. Robert Webb, ECM Hospital and staff, and all the nurses and aides from Hospice of the Shoals for the special care that was given.
