Funeral for Loyd Chester Keenum, 90, of Town Creek will be Friday, August 9, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home with Steve Agee and Tommy Smith officiating. Burial will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Keenum, who died Tuesday, August 6, 2013, at his residence, was born April 22, 1923, in Lawrence County to Percy and Laura Keenum. He was a retired welder. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorothy Keenum; one sister, Ovada Owens; and four brothers, Fred Keenum, Howard Keenum, Louis Kenum and Truitt Keenum.
Survivors include one daughter, Janice Roberts and her husband, Ronald; three grandchildren, Kim Bumpus, Kris Rollins and her husband, Mitch, and Kelly Tuck and her husband, Clay; and four great-grandchildren, Jackson Rollins, Kaitlin Tuck, Kaleigh Tuck and Kopper Tuck.
