Nita Juanita Parrish Barnes, age 77, of Florence, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013. Visitation will be today from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will follow at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Charlie James officiating. Burial will be at Greenview Cemetery. Pallbearers are Chet Stafford, Wesley Stafford, Guy Stafford, Mark Brown, Mike Barnes and Mike Martin.
She was a member of Washington Park Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Effie Parrish; brother, Roy Parrish; and sister, Carlene Crepps.
Survivors are her husband, Jack Barnes; sons, Ronnie Stafford (Denise) and Wayne Stafford (Janie); sisters, Bernice West, Patsy Parrish, and Frances Batchler; four grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. A special thanks to Dr. Felix Morris and the staff at Gentiva.
