James M. “J.R.” Hooper, Jr., age 62, of Florence, Al died Tuesday, August 06, 2013 at Shoals Hospital. He was born on May 01, 1951 in Leighton, Alabama.
J.R. will be cremated per his wishes, with an interment and private memorial service for family & friends at a later date.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Milton Hooper and Eva Christine Williams Hooper; brothers, Jimmy Colburn & Donald Hooper; sisters, Brenda Sheffield & Barbara Kay Hooper.
He is survived by long time companion, Lois Reed; brothers, Jerry (Sandra) Hooper, Larry Hooper, Willard (Kathy) Hooper; sister, Peggy (Thomas) Trousdale; special niece & care giver, Elaine Summerhill; special nephews, Ron Sheffield, Arleace “Geechie” Patterson, Channing “C.J.” Fuqua; other nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews.
