Graveside service for Doris Mae Dodd, 72, of Decatur will be Sunday, August 4, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Cemetery with Everett Conn officiating. Visitation will be from 12:30 until 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home.
Mrs. Dodd died Friday, August 2, 2013, at Decatur-Morgan Hospital. She was born December 14, 1940, in Lawrence County to the late Kennedy and Ora Mary Newby Kennedy. She was a member of the Church of Christ and had worked as an LPN in Decatur for over 50 years. She was preceded in death by her son, Darwin Lynn Dodd; three brothers and one sister.
She is survived by her son, Kevin Dodd of Decatur; two sisters, Judy Smith (Ray) of Athens and Sandra Southard (John) of Harvest; and several nieces and nephews.
