William Stanley Spurrier, 75, of Madison, died Thursday. A beloved husband and father, Stan was born in Montgomery and raised in Hoover Alabama. Upon graduating high school, he enlisted into the United States Navy where he was a firefighter and would excel in the field of Sonar, ultimately leading to a career as a computer hardware analyst. He was an avid photographer, sail-boater, and carpenter.
Stan is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Kathleen (Kathy) Spurrier, two sons, Michael of Cincinnati, David of Madison, his brother Edward, nephews and nieces.
