Mark Anthony Cockrell, 52, died Sunday, July 28, 2013, at his home. He was born April 5, 1961, to Jimmy O. and Johnnie P. Short Cockrell. He was a graduate of Mantachie High School and received a drafting degree from Itawamba Community College. He was a member of Lakeland Baptist Church. He was a warehouse manager in the fabric industry. He enjoyed yard work and was an avid NASCAR fan.
Graveside services will be at 11 a. m. Friday at the Stephens Cemetery. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home of Mantachie is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include one son, Neil Cockrell; his wife, Teresa, both of Mantachie; an a host of special friends and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers will be Billy “Bird” Hughes, Paul Poteet, Lee Jones, Donnie Cockrell, and Bradley Smith.
