Betty Joyce Davenport, 76, of Tuscumbia, passed away at Shoals Hospital on July 24, 2013. She was born in Lauderdale County. Mrs. Davenport was a member of the Highland Park Church of Christ.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m., Saturday July 27, 2013, at Colbert Memorial Chapel with the service at 11. Officiating will be Jack Wilhelm. Burial will be at the Alabama National Cemetery.
Mrs. Davenport was preceded in death by her parents, Pancie R. and Vernice A. Richardson; and son-in-law, Sammy Mann.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Austin Davenport; son, Timothy Davenport (Laura); son, Larry Davenport (J. J.); daughter, Cayron Mann; four grandchildren, Aunell Davenport, Ellen Davenport, Emma Lynn Davenport and Cameron Mann; sisters, Faye Moore (Floyd) and Jean Siota; brothers, Don Richardson, Mark Richardson (Joanne); and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family would like to thank doctors Felix Morris, Edsel Holden and Kenneth Rose, and all of the nurses, respiratory therapists and staff of Shoals Hospital, Gentiva Home Health and Health Care Solutions for their outstanding care.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mars Hill Bible School.
