Funeral service for Lynn Reed Goree, 82, will be Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Somerville Baptist Church with Bro. Rickey Clemons and Bro. Mark Goree officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Shiloh Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Somerville Baptist Church.
Mr. Goree died on Wednesday, November 4, 2026 at Huntsville Hospital. He was born March 5, 1944, in Morgan County, to Odell Goree and Margaret Elizabeth Mooneyham Goree.
Mr. Goree was a longtime faithful member of Somerville Baptist Church and had a servants heart. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family, especially his grand and great grandchildren, that he loved dearly. He was a hard worker and retired from Wolverine Tube, then worked and retired from Amalgamaize and then retired from Morgan County Parks and Recreation Department, as a director for Huskey Park, in Florette.

his Wife of 62 years – Carolyn Royce Goree,
Son – Mark R. Goree (Kim),
Daughter – Amy Giers (Charles),
Brother – Dell Goree (Renee),
Sisters – Connie Murphy (Ronny), Angie Brooks (Ted),
and Rosena Chunn (John).
Five Grandchildren – Taylor Stinnett (Kaylee), Logan Goree,
Ethan Patterson, Kyle Goree (McKale) and
Seth Goree (Rebekah),
and Two Great Grandchildren – Ella Kate Stinnett and Julia Jean Goree.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons along with Chris Goree and Ken Goree.
