Betty Jo Bonee, age 88, of New Prospect, TN passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at her residence. She was a native of Lawrence County, TN, retired from Dura Automotive, and a member of Cloverdale Congregational Methodist Church where she served faithfully.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Will and Ina Mae Sneed Ratliff; her husband, Glen Bonee; three brothers, John M. Ratliff, Earl Ratliff, and Wendell Ratliff; and six sisters, Ruby Renfro, Louise Woodall, Rose Lee Martin, Jewel Renfro, Pearl Martin, and Liz Millhorn.
She is survived by two sons, Jeff Bonee (Pam) and Greg Bonee (Diona) both of New Prospect, TN; four grandchildren, Josh Bonee (Tiffany), Amanda Grooms (Jason), Amber Walker (Brett), and Courtney Smith (Johnny); eleven great-grandchildren, Briar Bonee, Chase Bonee (Katie), Callie Neese (Dalton), Jaley Grooms, Hutton Grooms, Bella Grace Walker, Lucy Walker, Gabby Jo Walker, Hunter Clayton (Liz), Gage Clayton, and Jordan Clayton; five great-great-grandchildren, Berkley Bonee, Crew Bonee, David Clayton, Walker Clayton, and Ellie Clayton (on the way). Those serving as pallbearers are Hunter, Gage, Jordan, Briar, Chase, and Hutton.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, November 5, 2026, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Friday, November 6, 2026, with Josh Bonee and Brett Walker officiating. Interment will follow at Mars Hill Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN.
