Nancy Frost, of Bolivar, passed away on November 2, 2026, at her home in Bolivar. She was born on December 5, 1944, in Hickory Valley, Tennessee, and lived her whole life in Hardeman County. Her life was marked by devotion to her work, enjoyment of the people around her, and a deep love for home, family, and the simple pleasures that brought her happiness.
Mrs. Frost began working for BellSouth in 1963 and retired from there in 1991. She later worked for several years as an admin at Bolivar General Hospital, retiring in 2012. She loved to work and enjoyed being around people, qualities that stayed with her throughout her life and career.
Nancy found joy in many things. She had a green thumb and loved being outside. She enjoyed shopping, traveling, decorating, and water skiing, and she especially loved children. She and her husband, Henry, treasured their dogs and considered them their ‘children’. A member of Hickory Valley Baptist Church, she carried her faith with her throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Frost; by her parents, Farris and Annie Bishop West; and by her brothers, Donald West, Billy Morris West, Nickey West, and Wallace West.
She leaves behind family who will remember her with love, including her sister, Pam Brown (Wayne) of Montgomery, Alabama, her sister, Pat Sheilfield of Collierville; her niece, Diane Weaver and her nephew, Wallace R. West. May their memories of Nancy bring comfort in the days ahead and remain a lasting source of peace and gratitude.
A graveside service will be held on November 5, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Bolivar Memorial Cemetery, 401 Orange St., Bolivar, TN 38008. Memorials in her name may be sent to Hardeman Adoptable Animals (www.hardemanadoptableanimals.org).
