Truby Kay Permenter, age 90, of Muscle Shoals, passed away on October 28, 2026. The family will have a memorial service at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at Valley Grove Baptist Church.
Truby was a member of Valley Grove Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a former recording artist with Milo Records on the Cool Label.
She is survived by her son, John Permenter (Sharon) of Florence; son-in-law, Dr. T. Randy Booth of Georgia; grandchildren, Emily Diana Permenter of Florence, Timothy Lee McAnally (Autumn) of Leighton, Dr. Nathaniel Booth of Wuhan, China, John Mark Booth of Birmingham, Randy Booth, Jr. of Georgia, James Booth of Georgia; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousin, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Permenter; daughter, Teresa Conley Booth; parents, John & Verona Willis; sisters, Evie Naomi Willis and Johnnie Lee Mitchell.
