Corbyn Ri’Shun Martin, age 11, was born on June 8, 2015, to Richard Allen Martin and Paula Michelle Dancer in Tupelo, Mississippi.
Corbyn was a bright, loving young boy whose sweet spirit and kind heart touched everyone he met. He was a sixth-grade student at Milam Elementary School, where he loved his school, his classmates, and the friendships he made along the way. Corbyn was known for being polite, respectful, and thoughtful toward everyone. His gentle nature and warm personality made him a joy to be around.
He enjoyed life and all the little adventures it had to offer. He loved playing video games, playing pickleball, dancing, traveling, and trying new things. He had a special love for dogs and dreamed of one day becoming a veterinarian so he could care for animals. He also enjoyed watching basketball, especially cheering on LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers. Corbyn had a passion for cooking and proudly participated in the 4-H Club at the Extension Service, where he enjoyed learning new skills and exploring his interests.
His love for life, curiosity, and willingness to experience new things reflected the special young man he was becoming. Corbyn’s sweet soul, respectful spirit, and the happiness he brought to those around him will forever be remembered by all who had the blessing of knowing him.
Corbyn attended Springhill Missionary Baptist Church.
Though his time here was far too short, Corbyn leaves behind precious memories, countless smiles, and a love that will remain in the hearts of his family, friends, classmates, teachers, and all who knew him. His life was a beautiful reminder that even the youngest among us can leave the greatest impressions.
