Susan Flewellen Heard died peacefully at her Tupelo residence on October 27, 2026. Susan was born in Tuscaloosa, Ala. on June 3, 1947 to the late accounting Professor, Dr. William Crawford Flewellen, Jr. and Tommie Sue Kendrick Flewellen. She graduated from Starkville High School and attended the University of Alabama, Mississippi State University and completed her degree in Art from Mississippi State College for Women (MUW). She made remarkable contributions in Art during her lifetime.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 PM Sunday, November 1, 2026, in the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel at Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo. Visitation will begin at 1 PM. Holland Funeral Directors – Tupelo Chapel is honored to serve the family.
