Darren passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 26, 2026. He was a kind young man who was born into this world full of joy and ready to be independent! He brought much happiness to his family. When his family grew throughout the years, he became a younger brother to 6 older siblings and the older brother to 1 younger sister. He and his siblings had fun relationships with each other.
He excelled in school where he had worked extra hard in order to graduate early. Only 14, he was already very ready to be on his own with a job, a motorcycle, and a cat. He loved sushi, mangas, and his brothers and sisters.
He was greatly loved and will be forever missed. Until we see you again!
He is survived by his parents, Elizabeth and Nik Spikes and Deaglan Quinn; his siblings, Haven Spikes, Siobhan (Eli) Davis, Campbell (Rebecca) Spikes, Evie Quinn, Tobi Spikes, Ethan Quinn, and Charlotte Spikes; his grandparents, Woody and Robin O’Dell, Lin and Connie Quinn, and Jim and Sharon Spikes; his great-grandmothers, Catherine Zelazo, Donzy O’Dell, and Chris Chavers; and many other uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives, and friends. His special friends were Connor, Jessica, Chris, Michael, Nathan, and uncles Jackson and Levi.

A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, November 22nd, at 1pm in the Whitesburg Baptist Church student center.
